Giorgia Marullo graduated from the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy, with a master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Graphic and Multimedia curricula, in 2021, and a PhD in Management, Production, and Design in 2025.
Her work covers several research domains, such as healthcare and sports, with an emphasis on human behavior analysis for developing deep learning-based user-centered solutions. Deep Learning methodologies were further studied during her visit to the Heudiasyc Laboratory, a joint research unit between the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC, Alliance Sorbonne Université) and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), from November 2024 to March 2025.
She currently works as a Research Fellow at the Polytechnic University of Turin’s Department of Management and Production Engineering, focusing on the analysis of human movement by automatically tracking key skeleton joints.
