The second meeting of the project was held from April 2 to April 4, 2025. This three-day event was dedicated to refining and consolidating the technical and strategic requirements essential for the continued development of 6G network technologies, with a particular focus on sustainability as a guiding principle. The discussions involved all project partners and aimed to align the various work packages toward common goals related to environmental responsibility, energy efficiency, and long-term societal impact.
Our team contributed to the meeting by presenting progress on two case studies within the eHealth domain. These case studies are designed to explore how next-generation digital technologies, enabled by 6G connectivity, can be seamlessly integrated into clinical practice. The objective is to enhance the collaboration between surgeons, biomedical engineers, and patients by leveraging advanced tools that support real-time communication, remote assistance, data sharing, and improved decision-making. Through these efforts, we aim to demonstrate the tangible benefits of sustainable 6G applications in the healthcare sector, where reliability, latency, and interoperability are of critical importance.
