The project concerns the study and the development of computer vision solutions for identify manufactured components in the leather industry. The system operates on a large number of configurations and with no significant differentiations. The activity of the Politecnico di Torino working group was the study and implementation of a Pattern Recognition algorithm able to compare the manufacturing components with a previously imported reference models taking also into account the component position and rotation on the handling carpet.
